Quick-cooling, energy saving and air-purifying, the newly launched Panasonic ENVIO I2 and ENVIO P2 air-conditioners employ trend-setting technologies in anticipation of consumers' needs for better, healthier living.

Today's consumers face two major concerns – increasing energy costs as electricity prices rise, and unfavourable air quality due to airborne pollution. Accordingly, the need arises for air-conditioners that address these issues while creating a comfortable, healthy indoor environment. In response, Panasonic Malaysia has introduced the ENVIO (Environmental Innovation) I2 and P2 series.

ENVIO I2 features optimum power control and extremely efficient operation due to its improved Inverter Technology. Its power conversion circuit allows flexible control of the compressor’s rotation, which determines air conditioner output. Initially the compressor rotates at high speed, shortening the time taken to achieve desired room temperature. After that, it slows down to maintain the temperature using less power.

Taking 12,000 Btu models for comparison, the inverter model uses less electricity hence allowing up to 50% energy savings. In addition, the I2 uses the eco-friendly R410 refrigerant that provides higher compressor efficiency due to lower effect on pressure drop compared to the commonly used R22 gas. These economical, environmental-friendly aspects benefit both your budget and the Earth in the long-term.

Both the P2 and I2 incorporate the revolutionary, new "e-ion Air Purifying System with Patrol Sensor" mechanism to monitor your room air quality. Once its Patrol Sensor detects airborne dirt above a certain level, it generates up to 3 trillion active e-ions and then disperses them throughout the room.

These e-ions catch and deactivate airborne bacteria, mould and viruses by negatively charging them. Then the positively charged mega sized air purifying e-ion filter, which covers almost the entire intake grille attracts these negatively charged particles to prevent them from escaping. This mechanism works even when the air-conditioner is turned off. It gives the same performance as a full-scale air purifier.
