eCam & Lumix Launch

On March 6, 2007 Panasonic Malaysia launched 12 e.Cam digital video camera models and seven LUMIX digital still camera models at the historic colonial hotel Carcosa Seri Negara, Kuala Lumpur.

The event was well attended by over 103 media members from TV stations, newspapers and magazines to witness the launching. This time, Panasonic launched its first HDD format with 30GB memory & High Definition e.Cam video cameras that feature the 3CCD camera system along with its standard definition DVD & Mini DV tape formats. Also, Panasonic Malaysia introduced the LUMIX cameras with powerful 10x and 12x zoom and 28-mm wide-angle lens for remarkable close-up and wide angle shots. All new LUMIX models feature the Mega Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) and Intelligent ISO Control that eliminates blurring caused by subject motion and also handshake.

The media members were given a detailed and informative presentation by Mr Motoki Nakagaki from Panasonic AVC Network, Japan which included some demonstrations of MegaOIS and Intelligent ISO Control and a comparison of picture quality using the Panasonic e.Cam digital video camera and one of its competitors. Some media members had a good close-up look at the picture quality to see for themselves the superior quality using the Panasonic e.Cam.

The press launch ended with a lucky draw giving away two units of LUMIX DMC-FX10 digital still cameras.
