Reader’s Digest Asia Trusted Brands 2006 Award Ceremony

On May 2, award winners from various companies converged at Hilton Kuala Lumpur to attend the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award dinner and presentation ceremony. The Guest of Honour for the evening was Y.B. Ng Lip Yong, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia.

Reader’s Digest Asia Trusted Brands Survey (previously known as Reader’s Digest Superbrands), the eighth in the series, saw Panasonic garnered six Trusted Brands Awards for six years in a row since year 2001.

The Awards marked another year of exceptional achievement by the company in defining the confidence and recognition by Malaysian consumers of Panasonic products.

The Reader’s Digest survey launched in 1999 has been conducted for eight years across markets in Asia particularly Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Respondents are the subscribers of Reader’s Digest. The poll rate was based on Trustworthiness, Credible Image, Quality, Value, Understanding of Customer Needs and Innovation.

This time around, PM was awarded a total of six Trusted Brands Awards - three Platinum awards and three Gold Awards. The Platinum awards were for Refrigerator, Washing Machine and Air Conditioner categories, while the Gold Awards were for LCD/Plasma TV, Home Office Equipment and Water Purifier.

The continued trust in our brand is a testament to the quality of our products and shows that Panasonic is still the choice of consumers and is a brand they believe and trust in.
